We returned for our second visit and stayed two weeks in the Petite Maison.
Returning to visit great friends on their extended stay we continued to develop a deep love of the region, great food and the people of Cor.
Richard is the perfect host and both units are extreamly well appointed and comfortable. One could not ask for a better location to absorb the Dordogne experience

Be prepared, once you experience this little piece of heaven you will leave making immediate plans to return.

Be it a short holiday or an extended stay you will find you cannot get enough of this experience.

Come to decompress, hike, enjoy exploring the region or simply to drink in the splendor of this fantastic location.

Don’t hesitate to make a booking. As more folks experience this get away we suspect it will book quickly.

No reservation at all about thinking you too will fall in love with this region.

Thank you to Richard for his kind and competent host service and we will be back soon and often. The region is simply to beautiful to not repeat visits.

We spent 3 GLORIOUS months at this gîte, and we were reluctant to give the keys back to Richard at the end of our stay. The house is exactly as described in text and in photos, but what is impossible to illustrate is the sense of contentment we felt each time we came "home" to Cor after a day out in the Dordogne countryside. We were immediately charmed by the meandering drive leading to the farm, by the horses grazing in the field, and by the changing colors of the oak and walnut trees. There are only a handful of residents in this hamlet, and the gîte is located at the end of the road, so if you are looking for a quiet place to recharge your batteries this idyllic spot should be at the top of your list! What makes this gîte unique is the attention to detail the owner, Richard, has given to the comfort of his guests during the renovation of the building. The exterior is typical of the charming Perigordine style, with golden stone walls and wooden shutters which is all well and good when you are looking for character, but the interior has been finished and decorated to a VERY high style with modern conveniences chosen for their efficiency and good looks. From the induction stove top to the custom kitchen cabinetry to the dishwasher we felt cooking and cleaning up was a breeze!. Add in SPACIOUS bedrooms with comfortable beds, MASSIVE stand up showers in BOTH bathrooms, dependable WIFI, Satellite TV with British channels, wood-burning fireplace, off-street parking, and a pool, and you can see why we WILL return. It turns out there are hundreds of "must see' sites left to explore in this LOVELY corner of France, and we just can't imagine staying anywhere other than Les Maisons de Cor. Merci, Richard, propriétaire extraordinaire!

We stayed in the Grande Maison with our family of 6 total. Richard was so very accommodating and gracious. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in a home with lovely new amenities encased in a piece of history. Being on the farm was great, and while the location is perfect distance to many attractions, it was hard to leave little Cor with all of its charm. We anxiously look forward to returning in warmer weather for the opportunity to utilize the pool. We miss Dewey, Tess, Mandu, the horses, and of course, Dear Richard already! Thank you for the great French Countryside experience. ❤️

On our first trip to the Dardogne region we were blessed to share the Grand Madison with American friends of ours who were on an extended stay.
Richard, the owner was immediate to greet us on arrival and to ensure we had all the comforts necessary.
Cor is a great location, so much to see and do within a very short drive. Your days will be enhanced by a well furnished home and well equipped kitchen.

The beds were a joy, bathroom spacious and delightful rainfall shower is a treat.

The grounds and views are stunning.

We are so captivated we will return for a longer stay in the Spring.
We can easily imagine this becoming our “go to” vacation home in France.
